Thank You! for standing Stronger Together.
On Saturday 3 October 2026, Lusaka walked as one. From the Kabwe Roundabout to Manda Hill, a sea of white “Stronger Together” T-shirts carried one message to the nation: rabies kills, and rabies can be stopped. The Veterinary Association of Zambia sincerely thanks every sponsor, partner, institution, student and member of the public who made the national commemoration of World Rabies Day 2026 a resounding success.

Thank you to ZNBC, Muvi TV and PowerHouse Media for carrying the march past, Aerobics Mania and the official launch into homes across Zambia.
Together, we move Zambia closer to zero human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030. Vaccinate your dog every year. If anyone is bitten, wash the wound with soap and running water for 15 minutes and go to the nearest health facility.
Dr Eugene Chisela Bwalya
President, on behalf of the Executive Committee, Veterinary Association of Zambia
